National
Poison Prevention Week always falls on the third week in March each year.
It's a week to highlight the dangers of poisonings and how to prevent
them.
Things you can do to help us celebrate
National Poison Prevention Week:
- Hang a poster
- Ask your patients, families and friends to program the nationwide Poison Help hotline into their phone (under the #7, the letter P, 1-800-222-1222)
- Order
some FREE items to distribute (send me an email or call LaJohnna at
314-772-8300 for an order form)
- Post poison prevention tips on Facebook and Twitter
- Teach
the Spike Poison
Prevention Program to preschoolers
- Teach
the Taking Your
Medications Safely Program to seniors
- Use
our Elementary School Lesson Plan in the classrooms. It's available at www.cardinalglennon.com/poison
