MOSQUITO BITE PROTECTION RESOURCES

Many Missouri communities are experiencing flood conditions. As flood waters recede, residents need strategies to minimize the impact of emerging mosquitoes. Fortunately, floodplain mosquitoes are not

considered a public health hazard and do not transmit West Nile virus. Their bites, however, can cause allergic reactions and lead to secondary infections.
