Great Resource from EPA on Environmental Health Issues in Child Care Settings. Check it out!
EPA has launched a new web-based resource
directory of environmental health information for child care.
On the website you will find links to a wealth of information (fact sheets, PPTs, trainings, assessment tools, reports, prevention and intervention guidance, etc.) on asthma, chemical hazards, environmental tobacco smoke, green cleaning, indoor air quality, lead, mercury, mold, pesticides and plastics.

ATTN: Pre-K teachers opportunity
The Metropolitan Council on Early Learning is providing a
unique opportunity for pre-kindergarten teachers to use the “myTeachingPartner”
math and science curriculum, developed at the University of Virginia Curry
School of Education. This program, part of a national research study and
professional development program, explores the impacts of high-quality
curriculum on children’s math and science skills. Information sessions will be
held on Oct. 25 and Oct. 27 at the Mid-America Regional Council and the final
